well i just learned you need to hammer the dowels didn't know that, the ikea instructions don't really make it clear tbh.

What about cutting out of the kallax shelf for the skirting board?

I want to thank you so very much for your easy to use tutorial. I am a 64 yr old female with no 'put it together' desire or experience. I had no one to help me drag the heavy boxes upstairs and had no one helping me with the project. But when there's the will.....you find a way. I feel so proud of myself to putting the piece together by myself BUT, I certainly couldn't have done it with out you. The paper instructions were very difficult to understand, BUT you made it super easy. I made a few mistakes, but backtracked your video and figured where I went wrong. You are a genius. How do you pole the holes????? Its so hard and nothing is working to fit the screws in

Really thankful for this tutorial but a random thing I noticed is that the rails for the drawers on mine are like half as long as the ones in this video. The drawer opens up half as far as a result and I thought I put it together wrong but now I see it's just a slightly different design change and I kind of hate it.

I'm considering of buying the malm since the drawer interior height beats out every dresser I've seen so far (within a similar price range). I was also considering the Tvilum Scottsdale 5 Drawer Chest since it's a little longer in the back but a bit shorter in height. The ikea looks amazing though. 😄
